Why do American school buses look so different from regular buses?
Well... The differences are because of safety concerns for our children, these contractors that build the buses must comply with safety specifications and survivability into the bus frames. Such as hangers underneath driveshaft to catch it ,just in case it comes loose ...the road could sent it though the floor. The buses roof is made to withstand 3x the buses weight. The over abundance of emergency exits ...even two installed in the roof. Front installed engines so the bus would float on water level with pengers on board. Just a few example that come to mind that you can see.
