u have to do it in stages. my moms a hair dresser and she did the same thing to my girlfriend. she was avril lavigne blond and wanted to go red like lacey from charm school. my mom said it couldnt work right away unless u wanted it to be pink. start with a deep shade and then gradually go lighter.
