Do you know anything about the radioactive pigs?

My uncle lives in Bavaria and caught a radioactive wild pig. He said the government issues warnings about them and you're supposed to have pigs you hunt checked for radiation before eating them, because they eat truffles from the Chornobyl site. I thought this was quite bizarre and I wonder if he's pulling my leg or do you hunters know anything about it?
