Can anyone recommend a good book series?

Mercedes Lackey's "Valimar" series is pretty good, older but lots of sword and sorcery going on. Also, Katherine Kerr's "Deverry" series is and has been my favorite fantasy/magic series (after Tolkien-he's the best). Kerr's stuff is a little hard to get into, because there's so much going on, but it's really good. David Eddings is great and so is Piers Anthony. Hope that helps-happy reading!
